Seismic Compressor Technology from Stark Industries, Inc.

•  Stark Industries Model 6R80-100/DD4-53 compressors provide an excellent power source for seismic air guns. They are light, compact, autonomous, and very reliable. Each unit contains the fuel tank, compressor, cooling system and starting system on a solid steel frame.

•  For operations requiring high volume air they can be arranged in configurations of multiple units to provide the correct amount of air with adequate redundancy.

•  One job offshore in West Africa utilized five compressors to furnish the required 240 CFM. Three compressors ran at lower RPM to power the guns while two compressors were always at ready stand-by. The five compressors were in service almost a full year and completed the job without any chargeable down time.

•  Other jobs requiring 540 CFM have utilized up to eight compressors.

•  The light weight (6,000 pounds) and small foot print (50 by 100 inches) greatly simplify the mobilization process as well as conserving valuable deck space.

•  We have performed many jobs in conjunction with Seascan's patented Tri-Cluster air gun array and overhead rail launching system.
